Each of the 17 houses, every one named for a local village... Budakeling, Manggis, Pidada, Tirtagangga... is situated in a private, wallet garden with a split gate and angkul - angkul entry. The angkul - angkul, or free standing wall blocking your direct entry in an old Balinese feature designed to keep out demons and unwelcomes spirits. |
